Athena Media is an award-winning trans-media production company led by Helen Shaw, one of Ireland's most experienced media professionals.The company makes broadcast and online content and provides digital media services including online consultancy, web development, research and training. Athena Media launched in September 2003 and its broadcast clients include RTÉ, BBC, Newstalk and Setanta Sports.
Its corporate clients include UCD, Headstrong, Dublin City Council and 02. Athena Media launched Podcasting Ireland, and its online podcast channels, in 2006 and the company provides audio and video podcasting services to clients including Vhi Healthcare, the National Consumer Agency and Calyx. In 2009 the company launched Athena Media Training and runs podcasting and social media for business workshops.
