Beyond Limits documentary airs on Setanta Sports on September Sat 8th at 10pm

Beyond Limits, our latest television documentary for Setanta Sports, will be broadcast free to air on September Sat 8th at 10pm The documentary is made with the support of the BAI Sound and Vision scheme.

Beyond Limits tells the stories of elite Irish Paralympic athletes as they train and prepare for the London 2012 Paralympic Games. This documentary follows the journey of athletes who have overcome physical barriers to not just compete but win at the highest levels in sport; capturing their personal stories, achievements, courage and hopes for London 2012.

The documentary is presented by Mark Pollock, the blind and paralysed adventure athlete, who meets champion Irish athletes competing in diverse sports, from boccia to swimming, running, cycling and equestrian dressage.

There has been massive success for the athletes featured on Beyond Limits who have competed so far at London 2012 with Michael McKillop in the T37 800m, Jason Smyth in the T13 100m, and Darragh McDonald in the S6 400m Freestyle all winning gold with World Records been broken by Michael and Jason in the process, as well as a personal best broken by Darragh, beating his previous by 10 seconds. These phenomenal results have been bolstered by silver medals for Catherine Walsh and Fran Meehan after the Para-cycling individual pursuit B final, and Helen Kearney in the individual dressage Grade 1A championship which also secured a team bronze for Ireland in the process.
