This August, Team Ireland sent 66 athletes to the Olympic games, 30 of whom are women. Among the athletes covered in the series, there is Sycerika Mcmahon; the 17 year old swimmer and multi-gold winning medallist. Ireland's first ever Olympic qualifier in Modern Pentathlon, Natalya Coyle. Raphoe, Donegal's international badminton star; Chloe Magee. Mexican-American-Irish pole vaulter; Tori Pena and long distance marathon runners; Ava Hutchinson and Linda Byrne.
Winning Women features legendary commentator Jimmy Magee, Olympic silver medalist Sonia O’Sullivan and Irish Times athletics correspondent Ian O’Riordan, among others.
